First there's no self parking here. It's pretty much all valet parking which gets pricey after a while. That's ok since it's downtown and it's hard to find parking, but be prepared to spend a lot per day. It's downtown Seattle next to the library so it's pretty convenient to lots of places (be sure to hit Metropolitan Grill which is within a 5 minute walk of the hotel and has the best steaks I've ever had).
The lobby, like all Ws (I think), is very trendy and contemporary. The front desk staff was great and it was easy to check in. They were very helpful and gracious in answering questions in person and by phone.
The one weird thing about the lobby is that there's a bar in the hotel which seems to be either very close to or in the lobby area. At night, there's loud music and lots of trendy people in the lobby having drinks. Kinda weird, but it fits the brand.
The rooms are also trendy with great lighting and it's very comfortable. Everything was kept very clean and it was no problem getting extra towels. It's a relatively spacious room, especially for a downtown hotel, so it's comfortable.
Room service was a little slow but it was good service and pretty well done. The food is OK, but it's hotel food so you can't expect that much. Still, it was a little expensive.
Overall great hotel and a great stay, if not for a small awkward moment as you walk through the bar and the drinking clubbers as you stumble to your room after a long day of work. If you're driving there, be aware that it might be a little hard to find as all you can really see as you're driving by is a very small "W" sign

Let me share the perspective as a Plat member who has stayed here too. Not sure if Erwin is or not. There are only 8 suites at the hotel, so it can be difficult to get upgraded. I usually ask for one of the corner rooms. I agree that room service is good -- I usually order-in breakfasts when I stay and they always arrive in under 15 minutes. The hotel's restaurant Earth & Ocean is not bad food-wise, but I've gotten varying levels of service. I usually prefer to eat at some of Seattle's other great places.
