This was my first stay at the Sheraton Oklahoma City. The hotel, formerly a Westin, is located adjacent to Oklahoma City's "Bricktown" entertainment district and the convention center.
Check-in was simple enough, and the front desk staff was courteous. I was traveling with 3 others, and had booked their rooms as well. The room was a standard double on the 13th floor of the fifteen story hotel. The bed was comfortable as usual, and the decor of the room was quite pleasant.
The hotel is equipped with iBahn wireless internet access which worked very well. I apologize for not writing down the price (which I believe was $9.95) as I used the available T-Mobile roaming capability which was cheaper than the going rate charged by iBahn.
The hotel's great location, next to OKC's entertainment area, meant that I did not use the hotel restaurant (except for one breakfast) or the bar so I cannot comment extensively on the service. However, the bar always appeared to have a pretty lively crowd for happy hour and later.
The "Bricktown" area has come along nicely since I first visited OKC about eight years ago. There are a number of restaurants, pubs, and even a cigar bar which I really like, Makers Cigar and Piano Bar. The local minor leauge baseball park is also located within Bricktown. All of this was an easy 2 to 3 block walk from the hotel, which really helps pass the time in the evenings after work.
Check-out was speedy. I did not receive my final folio on the morning of my departure as the check-in clerk did not record my revised check-out date in the computer. In any event, the front desk was fast and friendly about it, and I had my final bill in hand in a matter of seconds.
The hotel is in a great location in Oklahoma City, and I'll look forward to staying again as I have at least one more business trip to Oklahoma City in the works in the next several weeks.
