The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Canada is located right on the shore of Lake Ontario, within walking distance of the Sky Dome and the Air Canada Centre sports complex, as well as Yonge Street, which is the home or close to many attractions in Toronto. This is a brief review of a recent stay at the Westin.

The lobby area is unusually buzzing with activit. It could be because the convention center is attached to the property, but even so, the open area bar is very inviting.

My SPG Platinum upgrade was waiting for us upon check-in: a nice junior suite on a high floor with a lake view. I asked for and received a late checkout (between 4-5pm) which was greatly appreciated. The room was at the end of the building allowing for both southern and eastern views of lake and the small city island airport. Complimentary bottled water was the only obvious Plat amenity.

The concierge was helpful in recommending Blue Man Group Show and directing us to a local downtown synagogue. Here's a tip: park in the parking lot just east of the hotel for $15 CAD instead of paying the hotel for $31 CAD per day. This will save you a bit of money if you have a longer stay.

The Westin Harbour Castle is a Category 4 property for Starwood point redemption, and is a pretty good value for redeeming points.
