I stayed at the Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel for one night in June 2004 and definately enjoyed the experience. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport and offers a airport shuttle, very convenient. The hotel is 8 stories high, with around 16 suites, 8 "queen suites" and 8 "king suites." As you enter the modern lobby, the style of the hotel hits you immediately. The hotel is decorated in the usual Sheraton style-dark woods, dark wall colours, and dim lighting. I stayed here before they did their multi-million dollar renovations on their rooms, and before I thought the rooms were very classic, I am sure they are even better now. Room views range from a poor pool view to a view of the outskirts of the city. I am aware that this hotel has won countless awards, including best steakhouse and best housekeeping in western Canada. I will tell you right from the start that you will give the staff full grades for their helpful, friendly service (a common feature in Starwood hotels). The hotel isn't stuffy like most Hiltons. You feel comfortable here.
The hotel features the biggest indoor waterpark in Calgary. It is a home to business travelers, and due to the close proximity to the airport flight crews often stay here as well, but it is most definitely kid-friendly. It is also a popular area for weeding receptions.
In conclusion, it\'s a great hotel for all types of tourists, if you're a business traveler, a in-town visiter, a flight crew member, or a family tourist, the Sheraton is for you.

Stayed here numerous times. Waterslide area is terrific for families. Club level not really worth it. Largest suites are actually not Club level but are junior suites that face north and east. The pictures above are from the Sheraton Eau Claire which is in downtown Calgary. The Sheraton Cavalier is in northeast Calgary.
